Honestly, that was the very first thing I learned about web design, in middle school, back in the early 90s. Yes, the KISS rule (Keep It Simple, Stupid) was the very first thing I learned about user interface design. It has only gotten more true as technology has become more sophisticated, unfortunately. And while I know this discussion is beginning to go off-topic.
